Dubai Prepares to Host Thrilling 5th Asian Youth Para Games This December

The excitement is building as Dubai gears up to welcome Asia's most promising young para athletes for the 5th Asian Youth Para Games this winter. The official countdown began with the ceremonial signing of the host city contract between the Asian Paralympic Committee and Dubai Club for People of Determination, marking another milestone in the region's commitment to inclusive sports.

In a significant moment at the APC headquarters in Dubai, His Excellency Majid Al Usaimi, APC President, joined hands with His Excellency Thani Juma Berregad, Chairman of Dubai Club for People of Determination, to formalize preparations for what promises to be an unforgettable celebration of youth and determination.

Scheduled from December 7-14 under the esteemed patronage of Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, this edition will showcase eleven exciting sports disciplines. The event returns to its successful 2017 host city, reinforcing Dubai's position as a leading destination for international para sporting events.

The upcoming Games represent more than just competition - they symbolize opportunity and inspiration. When original hosts Tashkent became unable to stage the event initially planned for October, Dubai stepped forward without hesitation. "This swift action demonstrates our nation's unwavering dedication to empowering People of Determination," remarked Al Usaimi during contract signing ceremonies.

Al Usaimi extended special gratitude both to Sheikh Mansoor for ensuring continuity of these important Games and to the organizing committee members: "The willingness shown by all partners reflects our shared vision where every individual deserves opportunities regardless of circumstance."
