Women-Only Beach, Night Swim Zones: Dubai’s Al Mamzar Corniche Set to Open Soon

Dubai is close to unveiling one of its most distinctive coastal developments, as the Al Mamzar Corniche project approaches its final stages. With construction now largely complete, the destination is set to introduce the city’s first public beach exclusively for women, alongside dedicated areas designed for night swimming.

The project has reached an advanced phase, with authorities confirming that final inspections are focused on ensuring timelines are met, construction quality is maintained, and all operational elements are ready ahead of opening.

A new concept in beach design

At the heart of the development is a fully enclosed women-only beach, created to offer a high level of privacy and comfort. The space is designed to meet international standards, with facilities that allow visitors to enjoy the beach both during the day and after sunset.

This approach reflects a broader effort to diversify public leisure spaces across Dubai, catering to different community needs while maintaining a strong focus on safety and accessibility.

More than just a beachfront

The Al Mamzar Corniche is being developed as a complete lifestyle destination rather than a standalone beach. Plans include a wide range of amenities such as food and beverage outlets, shaded seating areas, and service facilities distributed לאורך the coastline.

Visitors will also find walking, jogging and cycling tracks that connect different parts of the development, encouraging outdoor activity. Family-friendly features, including children’s play areas and open spaces for recreation, are integrated into the design to create a balanced environment for all age groups.

In addition, dedicated zones for fitness, beach activities and community events are expected to support year-round use, making the destination active beyond traditional peak hours.

Built for long-term sustainability

A key focus of the project is long-term environmental resilience. Engineering measures have been implemented to strengthen the coastline and improve durability against changing weather conditions. Large volumes of sand have been carefully placed to stabilise the shoreline, based on detailed environmental planning.

These efforts are part of a wider strategy to enhance Dubai’s coastal infrastructure while ensuring that public beaches remain sustainable and accessible in the years ahead.

Supporting Dubai’s coastal vision

The development aligns with the emirate’s long-term urban planning goals, which aim to expand public beach areas and improve overall accessibility. By combining modern design, environmental considerations and diverse facilities, Al Mamzar Corniche is positioned to become a key addition to Dubai’s growing portfolio of leisure destinations.

Once open, it is expected to attract both residents and visitors seeking a more flexible beach experience — one that extends beyond daytime use and offers a broader range of activities in a well-designed, inclusive setting.
